Virginia “Ginny” Slaughter, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, is from Kansas City, Missouri (Go Chiefs!). She has a cumulative 25 years of experience in the field of medicine. As a provider, she graduated in 2017 from the University of Missouri, Kansas City, with a Master of Science in Nursing, with an emphasis in Family Medical Practice. She chose Nursing as a vocation because it provides a blend of science with care of people and populations.
After visiting a friend, and going to a Ducks game, she fell in love with the scenic vistas and culture inherent to Oregon and relocated in January 2024.
Ginny enjoys getting to know her patients with personal needs to help develop a care plan that optimizes their health. She believes in meeting people where they are and providing advocacy for their health. As a nurse practitioner she also focuses on education with her patients to help them achieve optimal health.
Outside of her professional life she enjoys a multitude of activities both indoors and outdoors. She spends time with friends enjoying local events, both in and out of season, in and around Eugene. She also spends time exploring the coast with her adventurous pooch and trusted sidekick, Grover.
