Dr. Polzin grew up in a small town in Wisconsin, where he developed an early appreciation for community-focused care and service. He began his healthcare career as a wilderness Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), providing care in remote environments and gaining valuable experience in emergency and outdoor medicine. These early experiences inspired him to pursue medical training and ultimately a career in family medicine.
During his medical education and training, Dr. Polzin gained diverse clinical experience across the Pacific Northwest, the Southwest, and Alaska. His travels allowed him to learn from a wide variety of healthcare settings and patient populations while also deepening his appreciation for the natural environments that support healthy living.
Dr. Polzin specializes in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT). His approach to patient care emphasizes the whole person—supporting physical health, preventive care, lifestyle improvement, and patient education. By integrating osteopathic principles with evidence-based medicine, he works with patients to promote long-term health, function, and well-being.
He believes strongly in partnering with patients to help them better understand their health and the factors that influence it. Through education, preventive care, and thoughtful treatment planning, Dr. Polzin aims to help individuals and families make informed decisions and pursue healthier lives.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Polzin is the author of The Healthy Nomad Handbook, a guide focused on maintaining wellness while traveling, and Breaking Through the Crowd: Conquering Crowd Anxiety, which addresses practical approaches to managing anxiety in crowded environments.
